Description/Interesting Notes:
A fascinating example of this esteemed gem species from New York!!! This specimen consists of a most unusual crystal of corundum!!! The
crystal is a very complex form with glassy luster and a variety of hues!!! The crystal is largely pale yellow with one edge having a slight pink outer layer (which
results in it having an overall light pinkish hue from some angles) and, most notably, an intense royal blue portion!!! As it so happens, this
intense blue area is also quite gemmy!!! Simply an incredible specimen indeed!!! This specimen has recently acquired from noted East Coast collector
Jim Chenard!!! A very unique gem indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
