Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of sapphire from Sri Lanka!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of intergrown sappire crystals!!! There are numerous complex and unique features and the main crystal exhibits partial twinning as well!!! The crystals are doubly terminated and have characteristic, rounded alluvial edges!!! The crystals have gemmy clarity and are almost colorless with a slightly grayish blue tint and yellow color coming from internal iron staining!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
