Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of sapphire from Sri Lanka!!! This specimen consists of a single, sharply twinned sapphire crystal!!! The crystal exhibits sharp and complete twinning!!! The crystal is doubly terminated with sharp, brilliantly glassy faces!!! The crystal has gem clarity and is nearly colorless!!! This is a remarkable gem indeed!!! The play of light within is very lively indeed and its twin plane and differing angles display quite handsomely in person!!! Upon close inspection one can see that there are some additional, minute crystals at the bottom of the crystal!!! These crystals appear to be twinned as well, in such a way as to form an almost cyclic, hexagonal twin group!!! This specimen is complete and in fantastic condition all around!!!
