Scapolite Russell, St Lawrence Co., New York 6.95cm x 3.03cm x 2.86cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of scapolite from this historic New York locality!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of scapolite!!! The crystal is well formed and sharply terminated!!! With backlighting, one can see that this crystal actually has a slight degree of translucence as well!!! The crystal has some curious unidentified dark colored mineralization on the surface which, upon close inspection, is actually well crystallized (under a scope this material is fascinating!)!!!
