Scheelite on Quartz with Ferberite Tae Hwa Mine, Neungam-ri, Angseong-myeon, Chungju, Chungcheongbukdo, South Korea 2.92cm x 2.26cm x 1.6cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of scheelite from South Korea!!! This specimen consists of a single quartz crystal that hosts a group of sharp, octahedral crystals of scheelite in addition to a single crystal of ferberite!!! The scheelite crystals have sharp faces with color that ranges from smoky to tan!!! The scheelite crystals have marked luster and some of the faces of the scheelite crystals show some slight alteration with microcrystalline quartz!!! The quartz crystal is sharply terminated and gemmy!!! The ferberite crystal is actually partially included within the quartz crystal and, upon close examination in person, almost appears to "dissolve" inside the quartz crystal in a most unique fasion!!! This specimen displays fantastically in person and there is a lot more going on than it appears in the pics!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
