Description/Interesting Notes:
A superb, old time example of this very rare silver bearing species from the type locality in Colorado!!! This
specimen consists of a SOLID mass of schirmerite that exhibits brilliant, silvery, foliated crystals!!!
This very rare old time material came from the old, 19th century workings that contained this rich silver ore!!! The
zone that contained this rich silver ore was all but exhausted by the 20th century!!! Upon close inspection, one can see some crystalline features in several areas around the specimen!!!
It is possible that this specimen could also contain some of the other rare
silver-bismuth-lead sulfides (treasurite, heyeyrovskyite, lillianite, gustavite) as well!!!
This is a magnificent example of this rare species from the type locale!!! These specimens are next to impossible to acquire in
such quality!!!
