A rare old time example of schorlomite from Arkansas!!! Schorlomite is actually a rare titaniferous garnet species that is so named because of its tendency to resemble
schorl!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex crystal, the top of which is actually terminated!!! The sides show unusually complex forms and striations!!! A very
curious specimen indeed!!! This specimen retains an old affixed Foote label as well as old labels from the Sunshine Acres School (a very "unique" fully
accredited private school - circa 1939, it was part of the nation's first Nudist colony), and the Wintringham Collection!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
