Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of mercurian tetrahedrite from the type locality in Austria!!! This specimen hosts a handsome cluster of sharp, prominent crystals of mercurian tetrahedrite, known as "Schwazite" in association with a small amount of quartz matrix!!! The crystals exhibit complex habits and the characteristic black color indicative of this rare tetrahedrite varietal!!! Rare, old time material from the classic locality!!! This specimen retains an old Schortmann's label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
