Scorodite with Carminite Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico 5.2cm x 4cm x 3.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of scorodite from Ojuela!!! This specimen consists of a nearly solid cluster of scorodite crystals!!! The individual crystals are sharp, glassy, and have marked clarity!!! The crystals actually exhibit a discernable color change depending on lighting - with the crystals exhibiting a handsome blue color under incandescent lighting and a decidedly greener hue under full spectrum fluorescent and sunlight!!! In addition to the numerous vugs and clusters of lustrous, sharply formed scorodite crystals there are significant areas of intense red carminite as well!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see that the carminite is actually quite well crystallized!!! There are also several small areas of an unidentified yellow-green mineral in association as well!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
