Scorodite on Quartz and Limonite with Fluorite and Bariopharmacosiderite Clara Mine, Rankach valley, Oberwolfach, Wolfach, Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg, Germany 2.61cm x 4.35cm x 3.32cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent example of this rare species from Germany!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of quartz crystals and limonite pseudomorphs that host numerous spherical clusters of scorodite crystals and a number of isolated crystals of bariopharmacosiderite!!! The scorodite crystals have a unique olive greenish brown color in person that changes color depending upon the light source - showing a range of colors from a more greenish brown to a slightly purplish brown!!! For some reason, the digital pictures show the specimen as slightly purple in color however it is most certainly a olive greenish brown color in person!!! The crystals are sparkly and lustrous and have marked translucence!!! There are numerous tiny reddish brown bariopharmacosiderite crystals scattered about the specimen as well!!! There are also several colorless crystals of fluorite on the reverse of the specimen too!!! This specimen is a killer in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! A classic German beauty!!!
