Description/Interesting Notes: An extraordinary example of scorodite from Algeria!!! This specimen consists of a complex, multi-hued cluster of scorodite crystals!!! These old time examples of scorodite from Algeria are quite rare and scarcely seen on todays market!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of crystalline scorodite!!! Usually the scorodite specimens from this locality are seen as massive or somewhat botryoidal stalactitic forms with no discernable crystals - this specimen is quite exceptional in that it is so well crystallized with prominent, sharp, gemmy crystals!!! The scorodite crystals have brilliant luster, gemmy clarity and color that ranges from yellow to greenish to light blue!!! This specimen is very showy in person - simply an amazing example of the species from this rare locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
