Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of scorodite from this seldom referenced Mexican locality!!! This specimen consists of matrix
of solid scorodite that hosts vug loaded with sharp, lustrous crystals!!! The scorodite crystals have sharp, glassy faces with
marked clarity and rich color!!! For some reason, many scorodites seem to exhibit significant color change under sunlight/fluorescent and
incandescent lightin - and this specimen is no exception!!! For some reason, the specimen shows up more bluish colored in the pictures, however this specimen is much more
green in person!!! The color is a deep bluish green that seems to change in intensity from sunlight to incandescent light!!! One thing that is for certain - this specimen
is quite handsome no matter what color it shows up as!!! This is OLD material and came out of the University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum!!! The
specimen retains a University of Delaware label and catalogue number as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 8th!!!
