An absolutely incredible, old time example of scorodite from Algeria!!! This specimen consists of a large mass of nearly solid botryoidal scorodite!!! The
scorodite has a gorgeous deep blue green color with varying tones throughout!!! The scorodite has great clarity, with the majority of the specimen having
very good translucence!!! The main display face hosts an aesthetic showing of smooth, blue green, translucent botyroidal scorodite crystals!!! There is an area
that has a slight, underlying pearlescence as well!!! The color is WAY better than the pics show - it is much more blue-green than the pics
show (rather than purplish blue)!!! The opposite side of the specimen exhibits a striking showing of botryoidal forms and concentric patterns!!!
In addition there is a cluster of bright red carminite crystals in association as well!!! I have seen cut an polished examples of this material in old collections and
always wondered just how incredible the specimens must look - now I know!!! These specimens are very scarce indeed, and this one is a killer!!! The pics
don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
