Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare and unusual example of selenite from this famed locality!!! This specimen consists of a single crystal of selenite!!!
The selenite crystal is lustrous and gemmy and has numerous unidentified crystals in association!!! The associated crystals are brownish in
color and have a somewhat rounded, subhedral form!!! There also appears to be a small amount of calcite in association as well, which
fluoresces a vibrant orange under SW UV!!! This specimen retains a Donald C. Gabriel Collection label from the Seaman Museum that notes that it was
originally acquired from well-known New Jersey dealer William Casperson (1879-1970)!!! A very unusual Franklin specimen indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10th!!!
**We have just returned from the annual Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson, Arizona!!! Be sure to stay tuned as we will be listing our exciting acquisitions throughout the next coming weeks!!!***
