Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of selenite from Sterling Hill!!! While selenite is relatively common elsewhere, examples of selenite are rare from the Franklin area!!!
This specimen hosts a cluster of lustrous, razor-sharp, gem clear crystals of selenite handsomely paired with a well formed octahedral franklin crystal and
prominently perched atop a calcite matrix with brownish grains of willemite!!! It was difficult to capture the crystals in the pictures because they are
so clear and pristine!!! However, in person the crystals are bright and dynamic!!!
This is a magnificent example of selenite for the locality!!! This specimen came from the collection of Bob Jenkins!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15th!!!
