Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique example of selenite replacing a fossil snail from Australia!!! This specimen hosts of a sharply defined,
gemmy selenite replacement of a fossillized turritella snail shell prominently perched on matrix with several other selenite-shell replacements
in association!!! The main selenite turritella snail replacement is complete and measures an impressive 4cm!!! This unique
"crystal fossil" is very well formed and has lively
play of light within, gemmy clarity, and flashes of luster on the outer surface!!! There appears to be a few small
areas of unreplaced fossil snail shell present as well!!! Throughout the specimen there are several other selenite-fossil
replacements as well!!! This specimen is quite fascinating in person!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 30th!!!
