Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of selenite replacing a fossil snail from Australia!!! This specimen hosts an aesthetic group of sharply defined, gemmy selenite replacements of a fossillized turritella snail shells prominently perched on matrix with numerous other selenite-shell replacements in association!!! The main selenite turritella snail replacement is complete and measures an impressive 4cm!!! These unique "crystal fossils" are very well formed with gemmy clarity, lively play of light within, and flashes of luster on the outer surface!!! This large, matrix specimen is loaded with these unusual selenite crystal replacements and is absolutely fascinating in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
