Seligmanite with Galena, Sphalerite, and Pyrite on Quartz Palomo Mine, Castrovirreyna Province, Huancavelica Department, Peru 5.55cm x 4.02cm x 2.77cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible combination specimen recovered from a new find of rare seligmanite specimens at the Palomo Mine!!! This specimen hosts sphalerite and galena crystals that have been partially coated with golden microcrystalline pyrite on a matrix of quartz crystals!!! In addition, there are numerous areas that are covered with small seligmanite crystals and some of the seligmanite crystals are coated with this thin layer of pyrite as well!!! Essentially, all the finely crystalline material in the pics is seligmanite - a very rich specimen indeed!!! This specimen is simply incredible in person!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! Seligmanite specimens are quite scarce and rich specimens with significant crystals are even more so!!!
