Description/Interesting Notes:
An outstanding example of this rare species from Romania!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of
complex, darkly colored sphalerite crystals that hosts several choice clusters of semseyite crystals
to over 2cm!!! The semseyite crystals have silvery gray color and metallic luster!!! In person the
semseyite crystals are sharply defined against the darkly colored sphalerite matrix!!!
The semseyite crystals exhibit characteristic "rings" and radiating groups of bladed crystals!!!
This specimen was difficult to capture in the pics, as it is way better in person!!! This specimen
retains an old label from the collection of Thomas J. Campbell, Co-author of the "Encyclopedia of Minerals" with Wm. Pinch collection
notation!!! Simply a magnificent example of the species!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 5th!!!
