Serandite with Analcime

Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Québec, Canada

2.23cm x 1.83cm x 1.4cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of serandite and analcime from Mont St. Hilaire!!! This specimen consist of an aesthetic pairing of a richly colored serandite crystal and a sharp, lustrous analcime crystal!!! The serandite crystal has choice reddish coloration and marked translucence!!! While most serandite crystals are salmon colored - this one is closer to rhodochrosite in coloration, being much more reddish than salmon colored!!! The serandite crystal has a complex termination that is comprised of numerous tiny but lustrous individual terminations!!! The analcime crystal is translucent with sharp, glassy faces and there is also some natrolite (as well as some unidentified species) in association!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 28th!!!
