Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible example of choice, lapidary grade shattuckite in combination with other species
from this rare, old time locale!!!
This specimen consists of a dense, solid mass of completely silicified, lapidary grade shattuckite in association with other
colorful species - giving this specimen an extraordinary range of intense blue and blue green colors that is unlike
any other material in the mineral kingdom!!! These historic specimens from Navojoa have produced some of the most
extraordinary examples of lapidary shattuckite (etc) that are unlike anything I have ever seen!!! In addition to
being very rare and valuable lapidary material - this specimen hosts a variety of rare species including
a significant showing of lime-green mottramite var. duhamelite, some darkly colored massive tenorite,
some minor light blue ajoite, and possibly other species as well!!
What makes this specimen so extraordinary is that the shattuckite is completely silicified - and is
just as hard and tough as quartz!!! Additionaly, upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see
actual shattuckite crystals in many areas throughout the specimen!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony
Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be
some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 17th!!!
