Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent, old time example of shattuckite from this classic Arizona locality!!! This specimen hosts a striking showing of deep, intense royal blue
LAPIDARY grade shattuckite!!! This shattuckite is actually very well crystallized - with slightly chatoyant, deeply colored sprays visible throughout!!! The shattuckite is
extremely dense and compact as well!!! This is truly incredible material!!! There is a picture that shows a close up of the edge of the specimen where one
can see the sprays in three dimensions and get a sense of just how compact and finely crystallized it is!!! There are also a few
pictures of the reverse (that has the old Beres collection catalogue number on it) which has been cut and polished but not to a high luster like the opposite side - however even this side
is quite impressive in and of itself (you can actually get a different sense of the crystals as well)!!! In addition to the shattuckite, there are also numerous small masses of
blue-green ajoite scattered around the perimeter as well!!! The intensely colored veinlets of shattuckite
that snake throught the outer rim of matrix are quite aesthetic as well!!! This is simply an AMAZING old time example of shattuckite from Arizona!!!
A classic beauty indeed!!! You rarely see such fine examples of Arizona shattuckite!!!
