Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic example of siderite on fluorite from this famed German locale!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of
fluorite that hosts a rich showing of handsomely crystallized siderite!!! The fluorite crystal is totally colorless with clarity
that ranges from translucent to gem and brilliant, glassy luster!!! The fluorite crystal has some complex features and modifications and
a significant portion of the specimen is crystallized on the underside as well!!! The fluorite is much better than the pictures show!!! The
siderite crystals are prominently perched on the brilliant, glowing, fluorite crystal matrix and exhibit a showy, slightly curved and stepped habit!!! The
siderite crystals have marked translucence and an attractive two-tone appearance!!! The crystals have marked luster and some even have a very slightly iridescent
quality to their luster!!! There are a few scattered, complex crystals of chalcopyrite present as well!!! Fluorite crystals from this
famed locality are rare and seldom seen!!! This specimen retains
numerous old labels from both collections and old dealer labels!!! Classic, old time material!!! The fluorite is also brightly fluorescent as well!!!
