Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of silver from Nevada!!! This specimen consists of an exposed vein of chrysocolla intermixed with traces of native silver!!!
The silver is present as minute blackish oxidized crusts, as sparse submillimeter filamentous tufts, and
likely finely disseminated in the chrysocolla giving it a gray to blackish color (upon close inspection one can see small areas
where the chrysocolla has an almost metallic sheen)!!! While I would consider this more of a "silver ore" rather than a native silver specimen, it is
still a very interesting specimen nonetheless!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum as well as a corresponding
affixed label!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
