Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of native silver from Mexico!!! This specimen is VERY dense and rich!!! This specimen consists of a dense network of unusually thick and chunky crystals of native silver in association with a small amount of calcite matrix!!! This specimen came out of an old collection and exhibits unusual morphology for the locale!!! Upon close inspection one can see that the crystals are thick, stout, and densely intergrown!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, it appears that there may be two generations of native silver, the large, main crystals followed by a later generation of finely dendritic crystals, tufts, and coatings!!! A very fascinating and unusual old time native silver from Mexico!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
