Native Silver with Quartz Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico 4.3cm x 3.1cm x 1.9cm Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of native silver from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of a very rich example of native silver wire crystals in association with quartz!!! The silver has brilliant metallic luster and an attractive multi-hued patina!!! The wires are present both as thick, horn-like masses and graceful tangles of slender, gracefully curving wires!!! This specimen is simply stunning in person - very bright and lively!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! (Curiously, there is a very sharply euhedral silver crystal several millimeters in size, tucked among the wires!!! I have never seen a similar silver crystal and it appears to be partially etched - for those of you who like to check out specimens with magnification this crystal is simply incredible!!!)
