Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of native silver from Butte!!! This specimen hosts numerous rich areas of native silver in sulphide rich quartz matrix!!! The native silver is present both as masses, as well as compressed groups of wires!!! In addition, one side of the specimen shows an interesting "slickenside" fault-polished surface!!! In addition to the native silver there is an appreciable amount of acanthite present as well as pyrite and other sulphides!!! Examples of native silver from Butte are very scarce indeed!!!
