Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible, old time example of native silver from this classic Canadian locale!!! This hefty specimen weighs an impressive 1.125 Kg and is
just loaded with native silver!!! This specimen hosts a large, prominent mass of VERY densely intergrown groups of fine, herringbone-like
crystals of native silver!!! In addition to the large mass of native silver, there are numerous crystals richly
distributed throughout the matrix as well!!! There are also masses of darkly colored acanthite present as well, including a highly complex
crystal!!! The matrix is largely comprised of quartz (both massive and crystalline) and calcite with several areas actually
hosting small but sharp quartz crystals!!! The large mass of densely intergrown native silver crystals appears to be encapsulated
by a thin band of calcite and cemented together with calcite and acanthite!!! This specimen is easily worth hundreds of dollars for its
silver content alone!!! Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 9th!!!
