Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of native silver from Germany!!! This specimen consists of a dense mass comprised of fine,
compressed native silver wires in intimate association unidentified matrix and scattered intergrown with nickelskutterudite
var. chloanthite crystals!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one can see that this specimen is comprised of
densely intergrown wires of native silver that are almost spongiform in some areas!!! The color of the silver ranges from
tin-whitish to dark gray!!! The nickelskutterudite var. chloanthite crystals are quite well formed with sharp, complex
faces and metallic luster!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its museum note with L.
L. Hubbard (1849-1933) Collection notation as well as an affixed catalogue number!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
