Description/Interesting Notes:
A rich and unique example of native silver from this historic Bolivian locale!!! This specimen is loaded with native silver - present as
curious, elongated pseudomorphs after an unidentified species (possibly stephanite or pyrargyrite)!!! This specimen hosts some
very prominent and well defined examples of these curious pseudomorphs, including one that appears to be sharply terminated!!!
This specimen is very rich indeed - with significant groups of crystals seen on every side!!! There are some tiny
quartz points in association and the matrix hosts some massive, fine grained sphalerite in addition to some
massive stephanite!!! There are some tiny bright red areas that, upon close inspection with a loupe or scope are actually
proustite or pyrargyrite inclusions in tiny quartz crystals!!! All in all, a fantastic and unique example of
native silver from this historic locale!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 23rd!!!
