Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of native silver from Kongsberg!!! While one typically thinks of the classic silver wires and "ropes" from this famous region, it also produced a number of exceptional examples of finely crystallized native silver!!! This specimen hosts several thick, spinel twin crystals of brilliant native silver in association with some minor galena and sphalerite on a calcite matrix!!! The thick, showy crystals have brilliant metallic luster and sharply defined faces!!! The pics don't even come close to capturing just how fine and showy this specimen is!!! This specimen displays magnificently all around and is in pristine condition!!! This specimen is from the collection of Florence Mecke and retains its original label as well!!!
