Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of native silver from Norway!!! This specimen hosts a showy display of complex, intergrown
crystals on native silver richly distributed across its broad face!!! The crystals are present as fine, complexly
intergrown and criss-crossing crystals that display quite handsomely in person!!! The crystals have a handsome
multi-toned patina that ranges from bright tin white silver to a richly "antiqued" brassy-gray silver!!! Upon
close inspection with a loupe or a scope one can see that the crystals are also accented by small balls of acanthite and
related silver sulfides!!! This specimen displays magnificently from numerous angles and is very
showy in person (standing up, or on its side - its gorgeous either way)!!! The crystals are quite dense and rigid, and
much more three dimensional than the pics show!!! This specimen is from the collection of John H. Marshall and retains
its original affixed labels as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 18th!!!
