Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of native silver from a new find in ALASKA!!! Examples of native silver from Alaska are
scarcely seen on the market!!! The find only amounted to a handful of specimens, and we acquired them all!!!
This was one of the most exciting things that we saw at the recent Denver show!!! This specimen hosts a
particularly rich showing of brilliant, tin-white native silver in association
with scattered masses of darkly colored polybasite and a small amount of somewhat massive galena!!!
The native silver is present as complex patches, sheets, and dense, hackly crystals!!! The native silver
exhibits a bright metallic silver luster with a varied patina that ranges from bright tin white to iridescent to
darkly "antiqued"!!! Upon close inspection one can see
small, complex crystalline features scattered across some of the areas of native silver as well!!!
There is much more silver than it appears from the pics and the specimen is quite showy in person!!!
This is a particularly fine example from this small, one time find!!! You do not want to
miss out on this rare material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 20th!!!
