A magnificent old time example of native silver from Colorado!!! This specimen conists of a vuggy quartz matrix that hosts a rich showing of native
silver in association with galena and several other species!!! The silver is present both as complex crystal aggregates and wires!!! A significant
portion of the silver hosts a coating of acanthite or other sulfides in addition to numerous tiny blue crystals!!! The blue crystals present on the specimen
appear superficially to be aurichalcite, but could also be caledonite, langite, or other similar species!!! There are numerous tiny wires throughout the specimen however there
is one particularly nice "tangle" of curly wires tucked in a vug and intergrown with the more crystalline, sulphide encrusted silver nearby!!! This specimen
is simply incredible in person!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! This specimen is from the Colorado Suite of the Jenkins
collection and retains its original Jenkins private collection label!!!
