An unusual example of native silver from Idaho!!! This specimen consists of a dense mass of very silver-rich ore from the "You-Like" load!!! This specimen
was simply labelled as native silver on Wintrhingham's label however it is, more accurately, a rather homogoneous portion of incredibly rich
silver ore!!! It does appear that there is much native silver, that is oxidized and in association with chalcocite or chalcopyrite!!!
There are tiny cavities here and there that seem to show thin, leafy silver within, and the surfaces
seem to host oxidized silver punctuated by specks of chalcopyrite or chalcocite!!!
The specimen is very heavy and weighs a surprising 100g!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen
retains its original Wintringham collection label!!!
