Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent, old time example of native silver with cerussite from Idaho!!! This specimen hosts
a very rich showing of finely crystallized native silver richly intergrown with cerussite crystals!!! The native silver crystals are
simply incredible upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!! There is
much more native silver present than it appears in the pics!!! The dendritic networks of native silver crystals are
brilliantly metallic throughout most of the specimen with the exception of one deep vug that hosts crystals that exhibit a contrasting, darkly
colored patina!!! The crystals are superbly well formed, intricate, and ornate under close examination - some crystals are feather-like and organic in appearance, while
others are sharp, squared, and geometric!!! There is much more crystalline cerussite than the
pictures show as well!!! The cerussite is complex and difficult to discern among the dense networks of fine silver crystals, however they are much
more apparent in person!!! This specimen is simply amazing in person!!! This specimen retains a label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with
Fred T. Green collection notation!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 7th!!!
