A classic example of native silver from Colorado!!! This specimen consists of a vuggy quartz matrix that hosts a significant
showing of galena in association with scattered masses and wires of native silver, complex subhedral crystals of acanthite and aggregates of
microcrystalline polybasite!!! Upon close inspection one can see some scattered masses of native silver and compressed masses of
native silver wires present on the broad face of this specimen!!! The face of the specimen also hosts numerous, darkly colored subhedral crystals
of acanthite!!! There are also some tiny, rounded dendritic crystals of acanthite present as well!!! Upon close inspection one can find
some platy aggregates of polybasite as well!!! This specimen retains an old label from the
Kaar collection with an attached, corresponding catalogue number and an additional old, unattributed label as well!!! Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
