Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of silver amalgam from Moschellandsberg!!! This specimen hosts several bright patches of
silvery mercury-silver amalgam on matrix in rich association with rare mercury chlorides and other unidentified species!!! The silver amalgam
has a characteristically amorphous form, however there is one area that is noticeably brighter in apperance and, upon close inspection, actually has
some small crystal faces present (it was difficult to capture in the photos because of its bright luster, however it is apparent in person)!!! The
matrix hosts a significant showing of calomel and possibly egelstonite or other mercury chlorides!!! There are also numerous tiny, submillimeter crystals of
an unidentified species in addition to several other curious features throughout the specimen!!! This rare old timer dates to the 19th century and retains several old labels as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
