Native Silver with Galena & Barite Colquijirca Mine, Cerro de Pasco, Pasco Department, Peru 3.9cm x 2.37cm x 2.3cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of native silver from Peru!!! This specimen consists of a dense tangle of native silver wires with galena and barite!!! The native siler wires have a bright metallic luster and an attractive antiqued patina that ranges from brilliant near tin white to golden to smoky and muted!!! The galena crystals are present as complex cubo-octahedral crystals with some oddly rounded edges!!! The barite is present as whitish to colorless crystals as well microcrystalline material as well!!! This specimen retains an old antique dealer label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
