Native Silver with Safflorite Pribram, Central Bohemia Region, Bohemia, Czech Republic 3.7cm x 2.26cm x 1.71cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of native silver from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of a dense showing of native silver wires in association with complex casts of silvery safflorite crystals and a small amount of calcite and quartz!!! This specimen is quite rich and is just loaded with dense tangles of native silver wires!!! The safflorite crystals are present as plates of intergrown crystals scattered among the the native silver wires!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that these plates of safflorite crystals have brilliant, silvery metallic faces that appear to have the striated imprints of another mineral species on them!!! Upon examining these safflorite plates it appears that they may once have coated dyscrasite crystals based upon the forms they retain!!! It seems plausible that these silver wires are late-stage pseudomorphs after some silver-bearing species!!! The silver wires have a gorgeous patina and the details of this specimen are quite intruiging upon close inspection!!! Simply a fantastic old time Pribram silver!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
