Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of smithsonite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a lustrous showing
of complex smithsonite crystals that appear to have
replaced a broad, v-twin cerussite crystal!!! The crystals are sharp, glassy, and complete!!! The front of the specimen has a white, pearly translucent
color while the reverse hosts a layer of tiny, grayish colored crystals (with an unidentified bright orange mineral in
association)!!! While this specimen was acquired as "smithsonite after cerussite," it appears to my eye to
be a cast (especially given its thinness) - in
either case, it is a very showy specimen indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 3rd!!!
