Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of smithsonite from Mexico!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of pink smithsonite with a small amount of matrix in the center!!! The smithsonite has a lustrous, botryoidal form along with marked translucence, and a handsome pink color!!! The specimen is actually two layers of smithsonite with a significant cavity between the two!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
