A magnificent example of smithsonite from this seldom referenced Arizona locale!!! This specimen consists of a
showy cluster smithsonite crystals that have formed as casts after sharp calcite rhombs!!! The smithsonite crystals have tan color
with slight translucence however their most notable feature is that they show a distinctly iridescent hue throughout!!!
Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope the individual smithsonite crystals show complex, stepped features and have marked luster!!!
The specimen is in fantastic condition all around and displays magnificently in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of
Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen
PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming
days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
