Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of cadmium smithsonite from Arkansas!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of intensely colored cadmium smithsonite on matrix!!! A portion of the smithsonite crystals have replaced a curvaceous saddle-shaped dolomite crystal and completely encased a darkly colored sphalerite crystal right next to it!!! The smithsonite is well crystallized, consisting of intergrown rice-grain-like crystals that exhibit marked translucence!!!
