Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of cadmium smithsonite from Arkansas!!! This specimen was acquired in an old collection and is quite unlike the majority of cadmium smithsonite specimens commonly seen from Arkansas!!! The great majority of specimens from Rush are the more common dolomite pseudomorphs, with primary smithsonite specimens actually being somewhat uncommon!!! This specimen consists of a striking showing of intensely colored cadmium smithsonite (due to greenockite inclusions) atop a matrix covered in razor-sharp, gemmy quartz points!!!
