Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent combination of cobaltoan smithsonite on pyrite from Tsumeb!!! Aside from being a wonderfully aesthetic combination specimen, pyrite specimens from Tsumeb are actually very rare indeed!!! This specimen was found in an old collection and consists of dense cluster of small, yet well-crystallized pyrite crystals that hosts a cluster of lustrous, translucent, and pristine, rich pink cobaltoan smithsonite crystals!!! There is also a partial galena crystal visible on the underside of the specimen!!! A rare and unusual Tsumeb beauty indeed!!! The combination of sparkling brassy-golden pyrite crystals and the glowing pink translucence of the cobaltoan smithsonite is quite striking in person!!!
