PLEASE NOTE: This is a special "Holiday Listing" and will be ending on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 28th
An old time example of cadmium smithsonite from Arkansas!!! This specimen was acquired in an old collection and is quite unlike the majority of
cadmium smithsonite specimens commonly seen from Arkansas!!! The great majority of specimens from Rush are the more common dolomite pseudomorphs, with
primary smithsonite specimens actually being somewhat uncommon!!! This specimen consists of a striking showing of intensely colored cadmium smithsonite (due to
greenockite inclusions) that almost entirely covers a matrix covered in razor-sharp, gemmy quartz points!!! Just a few of the quartz crystals jut through the
smithsonite!!! The specimen is in fantastic condition!!! There appears to be two generations of crystals - the large botryoidal balls of crystals are not damaged at all!!!
The whiteness that is seen is actually a curious, paper thin film between the two generations!!! Simply put, this is a magnificent specimen!!!
Rare, old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS
WILL BE ADDED THURSDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING TUESDAY DECEMBER 28th!!!
