Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of cadmian smithsonite from Arkansas!!! The great majority of cadmian smithsonite
specimens from this locality are pseudomorphs after dolomite, with actual examples of primary smithsonite being
rather scarce in comparison!!! These old time examples of botryoidal cadmian smithsonite are sometimes referred
to as "turkey fat" smithsonite!!! This specimen hosts prominent botryoidal crystals
that have rich yellow color and marked translucence!!! There is a small amount of sphalerite present on the reverse as well!!!
This old time material likely dates to the late 19th century!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
