Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of smoky quartz from Connecticut!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, doubly terminated quartz crystal that exhibits a pronounced smoky phantom within, as well as a second smaller interpenetrant crystal!!! The crystal is lustrous, sharp, and complete!!! This specimen retains an old label from the collection of John I. Legro (1842-1923) who was a one time resident of Connecticut and lived very near this locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
