Description/Interesting Notes: A classic smoky quartz "gwindel" crystal from the Swiss Alps!!! This specimen consists of a doubly terminated, smoky quartz "gwindel" crystal perched atop a matrix comprised of numerous additional smoky quartz crystals (many of which are also gwindels!)!!! The main crystal exhibits characteristic rotation of the c-axis, which is what gives "gwindels" their unique and exotic forms!!! The crystal has sharp, glassy faces and gorgeous gem clarity throughout!!! The internal play of light and smoky-champagne hue are quite striking in person!!! Classic material!!! Aside from some very minor chattering, the specimen is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
