Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic smoky quartz "gwindel" crystal from the Swiss Alps!!! This specimen consists of a doubly terminated, smoky quartz
"gwindel" crystal perched atop a matrix comprised of numerous additional smoky quartz crystals (many of which are also
gwindels!)!!! The main crystal exhibits characteristic rotation of the c-axis, which is what gives "gwindels" their unique and
exotic forms!!! The crystal has sharp, glassy faces and gorgeous gem clarity throughout!!! The internal play of light and
smoky-champagne hue are quite striking in person!!! Classic material!!! Aside from some very minor chattering, the specimen
is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired
the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting
minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was
originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 27th!!!
